CRM

Leads, engagements, contacts and companies, from first hello to client work.

What it is for

CRM keeps everyone you work with and every deal, in one module. Leads are the deals you are working, Engagements are the client work you have won, and Contacts and Companies are the people and organizations behind both. Switch between them with the pills at the top: Leads, Engagements, Contacts, Companies and Lists.

How to

Add a lead

Open CRM > Leads and click the + button (Add record). Fill in the New lead form and click Create Lead. Switch between the list and the kanban board with the view buttons.

Win a lead

On the lead, click Won and confirm with Mark Won. The lead moves to the Won stage and a new engagement opens already filled in with its company, contact and value. If you close that form, Create engagement stays on the lead until you do.

Run an engagement

Open the engagement from CRM > Engagements. Its tabs hold the work: CRM > Engagement > Projects, Deliverables, KPIs, Cadences, SOWs, Client logins and Messages. CRM > Engagement > Books shows when the client's books are connected.

Import from a spreadsheet

On CRM > Leads, CRM > Contacts or CRM > Companies, click Upload. Choose a CSV and click Next: Map fields, check the field each column goes to, then click Preview & Import and import the rows. Leads and companies can also come from HubSpot, contacts from Google Contacts, and companies from QuickBooks.

Follow a record

Every lead, contact and company has a timeline: CRM > Record > All, Mail, Meetings, Notes, Tasks, Files & docs, Changes and Comments.

Get something back

Deleted contacts, leads and companies wait in CRM > Trash for 30 days. Click Restore to bring one back, or Delete forever.

Good to know

  • CRM > Activities lists everything that happened across your CRM, newest first.
  • CRM > Lists is for groups of records that are not a pipeline.
  • The fields on each record are set in Settings > Fields, and the reasons a lead can be lost in Settings > CRM.
  • The CRM tile in the rail takes you back to the surface you used last.

Screens

Read from the app map, so this list is always the app as it ships.
